The hardest part is not surviving the game but getting along with three friends to free up slots that require at least three hours each time. Then to get back to the timer I have to go find the clock app because letting users tap on the running timer in the notifications area (Android does this) would be too convenient. I push the wrong button for turning off a timer 100% of the time. On Android, you literally just tap the alarm one time. The buttons are all over the screen so you have to do the awkward phone-shuffle multiple times just to set your alarm 15 minutes earlier than usual. To go with your clock app example, editing an alarm is ridiculous. And it's not in obvious ways either, so long-time or exclusive iOS users have no idea how bad it is. It's crazy how less functional/usable a lot of Apple's first party apps are than Android equivalents. This morning I was woken up by the sleep alarm and when I set a new alarm for 15 minutes later it scheduled it for the next day and I overslept. Lastly the sleep alarm being separate from the "other" alarms just feels wrong. The equivalent on iOS, just sounds off, like its a scene from a scary movie in a jungle. For example, the default android alarm sound is soft piano with birds in the background. I know there is the sleep alarm but those sounds are still terrible. This could just be me, but why are the default alarm sounds so sudden? I always wondered why my iOS friends had the worst sounding alarms until I got my iPhone. I understand the reasoning behind this but it is so confusing. The timer is stop on the big button and repeat on the little button. Alarm is snooze on the big button and stop on little button. The least they could do is let me know I set it for pm instead of am.Īnother thing I don't like is when my alarm is going off the home screen just displays two buttons, and the worst is the buttons are flipped for when a timer goes off. ![]() Android lets you know your alarm is set for X hours and X minutes from now. ![]() Ok but how about let me pick my own sound from my files? no problem, simply download iTunes on your computer, import the song to iTunes and wait for it to backup to iCloud (yes this is the only way to do it, also no, I could not get it to work).Īlso, when you set an alarm it doesn't have any indication that you set the wrong time. What about make the alarm gradually get louder? Too bad. Also want to have your alarm play a song from Spotify? Too bad. why are the most basic features missing? Like you cannot set two timers? So if I have laundry going, I guess I'll guess how long I have been boiling my noodles. Seriously apple, the clock app is well overdue for an update. I recently switched from android and I am appalled on how horrible the clock app is on iOS. ![]() Maul is captured by Sidious for becoming a threat, but escapes before the Republic is replaced by the Galactic Empire. It truly is a great game and one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had let alone in recent times.Darth Maul, also known simply as Maul, is a character in the Star Wars franchise. (I am yet to play the prison DLC) Overall, this game is great and with Dying Light 2 out I just want to step back and bask in the original game's glory before diving into 2. Not all of them because the Hellraiser DLC was amazing but things like the quarantine zone based DLCs, whilst well embedded into the game world, didn't feel like content I would pay for I didn't get it included in my original purchase of the game. My only reason the game doesn't get the 10/10 mark is because they're DLCs were sort of lackluster in places. The game is genuinely such a fun experience. For example, in the climb up the tower to fight Reis I was essentially bhopping around pillars on scaffolding some 30+ floors up. The jumping mechanics allow you to jump the moment Crane hits the floor allowing you chain jumps and perform things that I assume are probably humanly impossible but it is done in a way that isn't game breaking or isn't immersion breaking it adds a rare dynamic to the game that makes the player (or at the very least me) to push the game to see what I'm capable of doing. I don't if this next part was intended but I want to say I am thankful it was never removed. The gameplay itself is also fantastic, the combat system is satisfying, the skill tree allows the player to adopt new abilities into their gameplay but the shinning grail in the gameplay is of course the movement, the freerunning element is something I didn't expect to work but it does amazingly and gives the world a level of fluidity and grandeur that made me want to explore it. I am leaving out many story points because I want people to feel the hype I felt going through this game doing the story and even the side missions create a complete world that is fun and leaves me wanting to do more side missions just so I can find out more about the world. ![]() Reis and Crane come to blows throughout the story many many times leading to a final battle where the two opposing titans finally clash. Fallout 4 has it, Fallout 76 has it, and you can bet that the highly anticipated Starfield will have it. Following the release of this title the studio started implementing the highly requested feature in all of their games. In fact, 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the first Bethesda RPG that actually had one of these sprint mechanics at all. Sometimes we forget that a lot of simple quality of life features that are commonplace these days, were absent from gaming in general for most of it’s history. If you wanted to get from Point A to Point B, you had to spend an excruciating amount of time holding down the forward button. Accomplishing a task like finding All The Skill Book Locations In Fallout New Vegas will take a tremendous amount of time at this rate.Īnd a lot of younger fans might not be aware of this, but Bethesda’s open world games didn’t really have manual sprinting for most of the company’s lifetime. The base walking speed is supposed to be a running pace by default, but I think we can all agree that it’s a little too slow. Learning How To Run In Fallout New Vegas is a bit tricky, mostly because the game doesn’t actually have a sprint mechanic you can use to move quickly. ![]() As he sees the people he served, he doesn’t believe in punitive actions except in the case of truly bad actors (he singles out Chauvin), but pushes the ideas of training in all aspects of law enforcement, including the cultural aspect. Fanone became the unwitting face of the beleaguered police at the Capitol on January 6th. He tells it the way he sees it and bravely shows authenticity. It’s well written, yes, but the author doesn’t mince words or play politics. I’m not giving this book 5 stars for prose but for content.
